THE NEW FRONT PAGE

When someone asks AI, does your name come up?

Buyers increasingly ask ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity instead of Googling, and those engines read structured signals, not ad spend. This free checker scans your site for the signals that get a business cited in AI answers: Organization schema, an llms.txt file, FAQ data, entity clarity, and more. No signup.

How it works: this checks the structured signals that make a site legible to AI answer engines. It doesn’t query a specific chatbot live. A strong score means you’ve given the machines what they need to find and cite you; turning that into actual answer-engine presence is what our AI-visibility work does.

COMMON QUESTIONS

AI search readiness, answered

How answer engines decide who gets cited.

What is “AI search readiness”?
It is how easily AI answer engines (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google’s AI overviews, Claude) can read, understand, and cite your site. The checker looks at structured data, an llms.txt file, FAQ schema, machine-readable metadata, and other signals that help an AI represent your business accurately.
How is this different from traditional SEO?
Classic SEO optimizes for ranked links; AI readiness optimizes for being correctly summarized and cited inside a generated answer. They overlap on clean markup, schema, and fast pages, but answer engines lean harder on structured data and explicit, well-labeled facts.
Does the checker call an AI model or cost anything?
No. It fetches your page and scores concrete, machine-checkable signals: schema, llms.txt, canonical tag, robots rules, Open Graph tags, with no LLM calls, so it is free and deterministic.
What is an llms.txt file and do I need one?
It is an emerging convention: a plain-text file that points AI crawlers to your most important pages and facts. It is not required, but it is a cheap, low-risk way to make your key pages easier for answer engines to find and cite.
